PRESSURE GAUGE / THERMOMETER
Many techniques have been developed for the measurement of pressure and vacuum. Instruments used to measure pressure are called pressure gauge or vacuum gauge.
From Greek thermo meaning "warm" and meter meaning "to measure", thermometer is a device to measure temperature or temperature gradient using a variety of different principles.
A thermometer has two elements: the sensor (eg. The bulb on a mercury thermometer in which some physical change occurs with temperature, plus some means of converting the physical change into a value (eg. The scale on a mercury thermometer).
